“Oh praise the one who paid my debt, and raised this life up from the dead!”
Praise him for many God-honouring, bible-believing, Christ-centered churches in ‘the Gong’. Praise him for Godly, passionate, wise leaders. Praise him for involved, Christ-like, supportive, loving congregations. Praise, him, praise him, praise him!!

I just realised (as I watched the rugby) that the tune of the last part of Garage Hymnal’s “Fairest Lord Jesus” (below) is the same tune used in “World in Union” (rugby theme song). Oh what great satisfaction this brought!

Every cloud has a silver lining: Being locked out of my house for a couple of hours without a key meant I finished reading three of my books.

30of60in60
Today is the half way point of 60in60, the challenge to listen/read sixty sermons in as many days. The first thirty days have been challenging, but equally helpful. Some of my thoughts from the first month:
I’m immensely thankful for those thoughtful souls, whoever they may be, who conceived and actualised this program. What examples of innovation and faith. A simple idea can be seized by...

In keeping with the Al Mohler’s sermon the other day on the will of God, here David Platt (whose voice reminds me a lot of Hayden Christensen’s in Star Wars II) says:
“1.4 million Bedouins in Algeria, 100 percent Muslim, no Christian, no church, no missionary, no Gospel, no Jesus, and we’re sitting over here saying, “What do you want me to do, God?” God raise up a church that is...

Interesting, what is he basing this comment on though?
He bases that on 1 Peter 1:12 which says “Even angels long to look into these things.” Read the whole thing at http://theresurgence.com/2011/10/05/magnificence-of-angels-and-the-mystery-of-the-gospel
