Q:I'm reading East of Eden right now! Did you love it? Would love to hear what you thought
I did enjoy it! I’ve not read a novel for some time now, so I’m still trying to work out whether my enjoyment stems from quality writing, or simply from the fact it’s a fiction book. I think both. It recounts tragedy in such a blasé way it adds to the monstrosity, and conversely it describes the good with such detail and vigour. As a Christian, it’s filled with Biblical allusion which added depth to the themes of guilt and sin and ancestry. Read on, and tell me your thoughts!
